Following the purchase of the Turnberry Resort by Donald J. Trump, Mackenzie & Ebert Ltd have been appointed by The Trump Organization to carefully consider making some enhancements to the Ailsa Course.
Martin Ebert will be the partner in charge of the work and says:-
We are delighted to be able to continue our work at the magnificent Turnberry Resort. The opportunity to use the wonderful coastal stretch which The Ailsa Course enjoys will allow the course to become even more photogenic.
Donald J. Trump stated:-
Peter Dawson's and The R&A's recommendation of Martin has been so well received by everybody. I very much look forward to working with Martin on bringing the already great Ailsa Course to an even higher level.
Mackenzie & Ebert Ltd. has provided golf course architectural advice to Turnberry on the Ailsa Course since Mackenzie & Ebert was formed in 2005. This has included all of the changes made for The Open in 2009.
