Igrew up in South Wales which afforded me the opportunity to play some incredible golf courses across the coastline and in the mountains and valleys. Seeing the variety in golf courses was where my interest in golf course architecture began.

I studied Mechanical Engineering and Management at the University of Exeter where I was also a part of the golf society for the three years of my degree. During my degree I learned to use various design softwares and developed the key skills in seeing through the design process from initial brief to the delivery of a completed project. Following my degree, I took a project management role in the nuclear industry which is when I decided to pursue a career in the golf course industry.

I took a position with golf course contractors, MJ Abbott, as a contracts’ supervisor where I worked in the surveying and contracts team. That gave me the opportunity to see some of the best courses around the country and an introduction into the principles of golf course construction.

I began my role with Mackenzie and Ebert at the end of 2022 where I have been assisting the various elements of the business such as developing designs and undertaking site visits.
